the increase in the number of cars on the road has caused a fundamental change in society , and in particular in city planning. In fact a capillary system of roads has sprung up which, in turn, has influenced choices in the
transportation of goods: road transport has become a viable alternative . This system of transporting merchandise has made door to door transportation possible, thus avoiding what in jargon is called intermediate reloading, that is, transferring the goods from one means of transport to another.
